In support of the Government’s effort to develop Malaysia as a caring society, SOCSO is committed to ensure social security of all working Malaysians including their dependants in line with the Employees’ Social Security Act, 1969 through:

  • The principle of Social Insurance
  • To provision of speedy, quality and efficient services through the most cost-effective methods, application of advanced technology and development of its human resources.
  • Periodical review of benefit structure as well as the benefit disbursement system.
  • Strengthening SOCSO's funds through prudent financial and management and investment strategy without, as far as possible, increasing the rate of contributions.
  • Promoting occupational safety and health awareness among workers and employers.

SOCSO's Safety and Health Policy

SOCSO commits to ensure it will be a healthy and highly secured organization based on the principle that safety and health is a common responsibility.
The management and staff commit to create and maintain a safer and healthier work place which will prevent work injuries and damage to property and life.
The organization guarantees the success of the policy based on:

  • Developing staff training programs on health and accident prevention measures.
  • Instilling the relevant social values necessary to control the action of an individual which may jeopardize his personal health and safety including other people's.
  • Constantly keeping abreast of changes in safety standards, healthcare trends and techniques.
  • Regularly inspecting on office equipment to identify and correct irregularities from the health and safety perspectives.
  • Reviewing plans for new locations including the facilities for the office, to guarantee the designing, contraction, installation and operations are within the stipulated government guidelines.
